Therapy With Colorado Medicaid
Front Range Treatment Center accepts Health First Colorado, Colorado's Medicaid program, through two regional organizations: Colorado Access and Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP).
How Medicaid Works Here
Health First Colorado manages mental health care through Regional Accountable Entities, or RAEs. Each RAE contracts with its own network of therapists and programs, so whether a practice is in network depends on which RAE manages your benefits.
FRTC is in network with two of them: Colorado Access and Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP). If your RAE is one of the two, covered therapy visits are billed to your plan directly.

What Medicaid Covers at FRTC
These therapy services are covered for members whose RAE is Colorado Access or RMHP.
- Ages 18+
Adult DBT Program
Comprehensive DBT: weekly individual therapy, a weekly skills group (in person or online), and between-session phone coaching.
- Ages 13–17
Teen DBT Program
Individual therapy for the teen plus a multi-family skills group that brings caregivers into the work.
- Ages 4–12
Child DBT
DBT adapted for children, with parents learning and coaching the skills alongside their child.

CBT and individual therapy
Evidence-based forms of CBT, specific to your needs, for anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma and more.
The DBT programs are delivered in full, the way they were researched: the same programs that make FRTC Colorado's only DBT-Linehan Board Certified program.
Natural medicine (psilocybin) services are not covered by any insurance plan, Medicaid included.

Colorado reorganized its Medicaid regions in July 2025 and now has four RAEs. Your RAE generally follows the location of your primary care provider, or your home address if you haven't chosen one, so choosing a new primary care provider can change it.

Which services does Medicaid cover at FRTC?
Therapy services: the Adult DBT program, the Teen DBT program, child DBT, and CBT and individual therapy.
Can I have sessions by video with Medicaid?
Individual sessions are available by secure video anywhere in Colorado; you need to be physically in Colorado during each session. The adult skills group meets in person or online. The teen multi-family skills group meets in person only, at our Greenwood Village office.
